Nexxus New York Salon Care Hair Products
I’ve been washing and conditioning my hair with Nexxus Emergencee Repair Rebalancing Shampoo and Nexxus Emergencee Repair Restoring Conditioner for about a month. With these two amazing products alone, I feel like this is where science meets hair care. They are truly revolutionary in the way they wash and condition my hair.
First off, the shampoo smells great, lathers up nicely, rinses clean, and a little goes a long way. If I have a ton of styling products in my hair like beach sea salt spray and mousse, then I need to shampoo my hair twice to get it really clean. Otherwise, one shampoo and rinse is all I need before applying conditioner.
The conditioner is top notch. It’s quite thick like a leave on conditioner that you would scoop out of a tub with your hands, but I find that having it thick like that really helps it stay put wherever you want it. I concentrate a blob of it on the ends of my hair and it stays put for the recommended 3 minutes. I generally apply it on my hair immediately after shampooing and rinsing. I then proceed to wash my face, my body and brush my teeth before rinsing the conditioner off.
Unlike most heavy conditioners, this has not caused any build-up in my fine hair. I also haven’t had a problem with it feeling greasy or weighed down like most moisturizing conditioners tend to do. I have found that I only need about half the amount I would normally use of an average conditioner. I think this will make the bottle last quite a bit longer.
On top of leaving my hair smooth, silky and lustrous, I think it has a nice, mild scent to it that my husband loves. This conditioner has really done wonders for my hair. After seeing what amazing results I had from using it, I started using it on my son’s hair (he has gorgeous, long hair!) and now I don’t need to use a spray-on detangler on his hair anymore.
In addition to the shampoo and conditioner, I’ve been using the Nexxus Emergencee Repair Reconstructing Treatment every other week. This stuff is truly amazing. If you have damaged, brittle hair from coloring, bleaching, or just life in general, you should absolutely try this treatment. It has an odd texture and feels quite strange in your hair (as the instructions mentions it might), but after you rinse it out and use the Nexxus Emergencee Repair shampoo and conditioner, you won’t even believe it’s your hair. My hair feels and looks healthier, silkier, softer, and totally renewed! I am in love with this reconstructing treatment and will continue to use it on my hair.
I’ve also been using Nexxus New York Salon Care Mousse + Volumizing Foam, Nexxus New York Salon Care Dry Shampoo + Refreshing Mist, Nexxus New York Salon Care Maxximum Finishing Mist.
The Mousse + Volumizing Foam seems to be a different formula than the old Nexxus Mousse that I was used to, but I still like it. Less is more with this Mousse and Volumizing Foam. If you over use, you will get sticky hair that you can’t get a comb through. Start by adding just a grape sized amount to hair and work up from there. If you use the appropriate amount, you will LOVE the results. Soft, shiny, touchable volume. It doesn’t have a strong hold though, so it works best on conjunction with the Maxximum Finishing Mist.
On two and 3 day hair, refresh your style with the Dry Shampoo + Refreshing Mist. This is probably the best dry shampoo I’ve ever used. It’s light, doesn’t have an intrusive smell, and it just gently refreshes your hair so you don’t have to wash it as often. I personally like dry shampoo because I don’t have time to wash and style my hair every day. Honestly, I only wash my hair 2 or 3 times a week. In between washes, I can refresh and revitalizes my hairstyle with this Dry Shampoo and Refreshing Mist. For someone with colored hair, this is an excellent product to have on hand because being able to go longer in between washing your hair will help your color stay vibrant, longer. This one is a must-have!
